Quetiapine is an antipsychotic medication treating schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, and other mental health conditions. It’s available as an extended-release and immediate-release tablet.
Quetiapine works by altering dopamine and serotonin levels in the brain.
You may qualify for quetiapine if you have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, or schizophrenia. Quetiapine may also be prescribed to treat separate manic episodes, insomnia, and anxiety.
